Movie Time

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm surviving the cold. On Saturday I went to my first movie, Tale of Despereaux! I sat on my own chair, between Mommy and Daddy. Had a nice slushie, popcorn, and fruit snacks. Fun Fun times.

(Daddy Note: Kayla was absolutely awesome, she didn't fidget at all. As we walked out I told Kim that we will be attending every G rated movie that is released from here on out.)

Brrrrr....

Long time no see!

So where's everyone been? I've been bouncing around all summer.

First we went up to Kavanaughs with bunches of our family.

Mommy, Daddy, and me!

And then we went downtown Chicago, here's me reflected in the bean with my cousins!

And what summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to Brookfield Zoo?

Jacob, Me, and Amanda!

And after all that plus a trip to the Morton Arboretum, and who knows where else ,I celebrated my Birthday a few weeks ago!!The Happy Birthday Girl!

The Bluegrass is exhausting

(How you doin'?)

Wow, I don't know who my parents think I am but they wore me out this weekend. We left Thursday afternoon for this place called 'The Bluegrass', aka Lexington, KY . As we left Daddy's work I decided to take a quick nap. When I woke up a couple hours later I decided to let them know I needed a break. When Daddy decided to keep driving I brought down my Level 10 tantrum of fury which seemed to be enough to get his attention, it's the last time I had to pull that maneuver all weekend. Once we got in to town I passed out while Momma and Daddy met up with some old Friends the Zietlow's, Rachel and JP.

Friday we went to this really cool horse racing track called Keeneland. You won't see any pictures because my very responsible parents left the camera at the Zietlow's house. Daddy couldn't pick a winner the first 4 races, but pulled off some tiny trifectas in Race 5 & 6. He ended up covering all his losses and paid for all the food and beverages that afternoon. The weather was beautiful, I got to see horses for the first time, and I met this girl Lydia who had parents from Chicago, IL. How random is that? Friday night was a BBQ at the Zietlows, kids were everywhere, and the Zietlow's dogs enjoyed some kids food on the side. My parents seemed to enjoy seeing all the strangers, but I was to busy running around playing with my new friends.

Saturday begins, and I finally get to chill out a bit. I spent the morning getting my wits about me, and that afternoon we met up with a new couple, Tammy and David Hicks (Just Married after 14 years!), for some catching up time and then dinner at the Chop House.

Tammy has this really cool animal called a cat, named Coco. It's the first time I've seen such a thing, but it was really soft.

Sunday we went to church, the old one Mommy and Daddy went to when they lived in Kentucky. Then that afternoon we went to see the new church being built by Mr. Zietlow, aka Pastor. It should be open on June 22nd for a dedication, and I'm hoping we can make it down that weekend to be there.

Here's a picture of me with my new friends, Gabby and Jude. While I may not look too happy I really had fun with them. If you want an example of how tired I am look below...

The End of the Weekend for me, drive Daddy drive...

Love everyone

Movin' and Groovin'

So, with a little luck, it appears Da-Da is actually going to be consistent. We'll see how long he continues.

Some quick info about little old me:
Every morning I catch up on my Backyardigans and Sesame Street, one episode each. After that it's playtime, sometimes with music on in the background. Did I mention I can dance up a storm? Perhaps I'll have some video for you in the future.

Throughout the day I'm very good about listening, yeah I throw a fit if I hear the word no but that's mainly just to test the parental units. I'm always helping make the bed, doing laundry, putting up dishes, cleaning up, and you should see me push a vacuum. No kidding, ask my momma and da-da if you don't believe me. When I'm not busy helping with chores I love my books, especially ones with flaps, tossing my ball, watching da-da's choo-choo, and just enjoying the day. Although I have to say, I'm glad this cold weather thing is over cuz I wanna go outside!

Finally, when night time comes I've turned over a new leaf. After giving my parents, or should I say my momma (cuz da-da rarely got up), sleepless nights for the first 12-15 months, I've hit a nice routine of in bed around 6:00PM - 7:00PM and I don't wake up until 6:00AM or 7:00AM the next morning.

So without further ado

Mommy blows bubbles while Unca Marc, my Godfather, looks on

Alright, I'm ready. Let's hit the road

I'm ready for school!

Anyway, enough of the silliness, now for the cuteness!

Love you guys very much!

After Easter post with Before Easter pics!

Hey everyone,
My dad, the 'computer geek' supposedly knows computers. But it wasn't until I hopped on this thing that he finally started posting stuff. We'll have to see how well he continues to update this thing-a-ma-blog

I got to play with my cousins at a bouncy house!
