Wow, I don't know who my parents think I am but they wore me out this weekend. We left Thursday afternoon for this place called 'The Bluegrass', aka Lexington, KY . As we left Daddy's work I decided to take a quick nap. When I woke up a couple hours later I decided to let them know I needed a break. When Daddy decided to keep driving I brought down my Level 10 tantrum of fury which seemed to be enough to get his attention, it's the last time I had to pull that maneuver all weekend. Once we got in to town I passed out while Momma and Daddy met up with some old Friends the Zietlow's, Rachel and JP.
Friday we went to this really cool horse racing track called Keeneland. You won't see any pictures because my very responsible parents left the camera at the Zietlow's house. Daddy couldn't pick a winner the first 4 races, but pulled off some tiny trifectas in Race 5 & 6. He ended up covering all his losses and paid for all the food and beverages that afternoon. The weather was beautiful, I got to see horses for the first time, and I met this girl Lydia who had parents from Chicago, IL. How random is that? Friday night was a BBQ at the Zietlows, kids were everywhere, and the Zietlow's dogs enjoyed some kids food on the side. My parents seemed to enjoy seeing all the strangers, but I was to busy running around playing with my new friends.
Saturday begins, and I finally get to chill out a bit. I spent the morning getting my wits about me, and that afternoon we met up with a new couple, Tammy and David Hicks (Just Married after 14 years!), for some catching up time and then dinner at the Chop House.
Tammy has this really cool animal called a cat, named Coco. It's the first time I've seen such a thing, but it was really soft.
Sunday we went to church, the old one Mommy and Daddy went to when they lived in Kentucky. Then that afternoon we went to see the new church being built by Mr. Zietlow, aka Pastor. It should be open on June 22nd for a dedication, and I'm hoping we can make it down that weekend to be there.
Here's a picture of me with my new friends, Gabby and Jude. While I may not look too happy I really had fun with them. If you want an example of how tired I am look below...
The End of the Weekend for me, drive Daddy drive...Love everyone
